Animated gif in XP - IE 6 - SP2 slower?

Ive made a small animated gif (3.86kb) image using two animating software programs.

The image has 7 frames.

each frame display time is 2/100th second

This should render very fast, just a quick flash.

But in my browser window IE the gif is rather uneffected by the frame rate 2/100th sec.

Is this a bit depth issue ?? or something else.

I have XP - IE6 - SP2 too it was animating fairly quick i thought, there was kind of a delay to start over (the page was blank for a bit) though. But maybe that was intended.

It might help to delete your temp internet files.
