I need to download IE 5.5 or 6.0?

I am trying to get my wireless card to work but it is asking me for internet explorer 5.5 or higher. I tried IE6 but to install IE6 i need to be connected to the internet. By the way my ethernet connection is not working. WHAT DO I DO. I need internet to get internet? is there a version of IE that does not require me to connected to the internet??

What in the world are you running for an operating system? Win 98?
