It doesn't show up in my Add/Remove programs list even if I select show updates, if I try to load IE 6 I get a message saying there are already programs waiting for a reboot (rebooting doesn't help) so it won't do that. If I try to load a newer version of 7 it says 7 is already loaded. How can I get rid of it?
I tried to load IE 7, it had bugs, I can't delete or reload 6, what now?internet browser
Oh my.... a Micro$oft beta product that doesn't work. Who'da thunk?? :-)

If that doesn't help, you might have to resort to more drastic measures like an advanced search for IE7 (start %26gt; search) and delete any hidden files or folders that might have been left behind when you attempted to uninstall.
And if THAT doesn't work, you might have to go into the registry (run %26gt; regedit) and search for IE7 that way and delete.

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2, Beta 2 Preview, or Beta 1 and return to Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP or Windows Server 2003
Click "Start", and then click "Control Panel"
Click "Add or Remove Programs"
Scroll down to "Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2" or "Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview", select it, and then click "Change/Remove".
If not found, check "Show Updates" at the top of the dialog box, scroll down the list to "Windows XP - Software Updates", select "Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview" or "Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1" and then click "Change/Remove".
If you cannot find any Internet Explorer 7 entry in "Add or Remove Programs", try running these commands. Each is for a different release of Internet Explorer 7 so only one will succeed.
%windir%\$NtUninstallie7beta1$\spunins... (To do this, you need to have "view hidden folders" enabled.)
%windir%\$NtUninstallie7bet2p$\spunins... (To do this, you need to have "view hidden folders" enabled.)
%windir%\$NtUninstallie7b2pmx$\spunins... (To do this, you need to have "view hidden folders" enabled.)
%windir%\$NtUninstallie7beta2$\spunins... (To do this, you need to have "view hidden folders" enabled.)
You could try restoring your computer. Start%26gt; Settings%26gt; Control Panels%26gt; Performance and Maintenance%26gt; and to the left of the window should be System Restore, or something like that. Restore your computer to a time before you installed IE7.
