How do I lock IE homepage for all users?

I have found downloads and registry fixes that will lock the IE homepage, but only for current user. I want to lock the homepage for restricted users, but can't change the registry when logged in on a restricted account.

If you are running Windows XP (Professional) you can use Policy Group to prevent limited users from changing it

I tried to load IE 7, it had bugs, I can't delete or reload 6, what now?

It doesn't show up in my Add/Remove programs list even if I select show updates, if I try to load IE 6 I get a message saying there are already programs waiting for a reboot (rebooting doesn't help) so it won't do that. If I try to load a newer version of 7 it says 7 is already loaded. How can I get rid of it?

If that doesn't help, you might have to resort to more drastic measures like an advanced search for IE7 (start %26gt; search) and delete any hidden files or folders that might have been left behind when you attempted to uninstall.

And if THAT doesn't work, you might have to go into the registry (run %26gt; regedit) and search for IE7 that way and delete.

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2, Beta 2 Preview, or Beta 1 and return to Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP or Windows Server 2003

Click "Start", and then click "Control Panel"

Click "Add or Remove Programs"

You could try restoring your computer. Start%26gt; Settings%26gt; Control Panels%26gt; Performance and Maintenance%26gt; and to the left of the window should be System Restore, or something like that. Restore your computer to a time before you installed IE7.

used to have a small progress bar at bottom of window when connecting to a new web page, I upgraded to IE %26amp; and no longer have the little progress bar, I miss it. Does anybody know how to get it back?

In IE7 there are two ways to view the download progress. The first is by a little blue circular motion on the left side of a tab. When the site finishes downloading, the blue circle is replaced by the site's logo icon.

The other way is the green progress bar on the Status Bar, which is what I think you want. Click on Tools (located in the upper right on your screen), then Toolbars, then checkmark Status Bar.

delete temp internet files. also clean out your recycling bin. there are ways to still look up what you have been doing on your computer with the proper software. theres not much you can do about that.

Why are is my IE/FireFox oversized?

Ok I'm having some crazy monitor problems. Basically IE and FireFox are both oversized when I'm on the net. Almost all websites have to be scrolled left/right and java programs get cut off at the bottom (i.e. Yahoo Games).

I've tried adjusting my resolution, messing with the graphics card, etc with no luck. Here's what I have:

1. Monitor: Dell M782P

2. Display Adapters: NVIDIA GEForce4 MX 420

NVIDIA is up to date and I even tried downloading the driver for the M782P directly from Dell with no luck. My resolution is 800x600 and I can't go lower without other programs being to small/blurry to read.

My hard drive just recently crashed and I didn't start having this problem until I installed my new one (500 GB SeaGate if that helps).

I'd upload a screen shot but I can't. Any help would be appreciated.

Leftclick twice, on the colored bar at the top of the window, that will resize the window for the resolution, you have set on your monitor. Or, press Alt+space at the same rime, a small window will appear at the top left of your screen, at the top of that window choose "restore."
